Some babies latch onto the breast straight away after birth and with no difficulty at all, while others have a challenge with latching on, staying on or draining the breast adequately. Equally some mothers have developed  bad habits or anxiety from past breastfeeding experiences which requires fresh  support and guidance for this new baby. Angie is a Lactation specialist (IBCLC in training) and Connect Midwifery offers specialist services to help you with your breastfeeding  problems and concerns.

We offer 2 packages of breastfeeding support. The 'One-off home-visit' and the the 'From Knowledge to Power' package

What you can expect:

• The 'One-off Home-Visit' can be booked at any time following baby is birth. The visit lasts usually up to 2 hours and includes a full feeding assessment, help to optimise the latch and feeding technique, and an individually formulated plan to help you achieve your feeding goals.

• The 'From Knowledge to Power' package, is usually booked in advance, as 3 appointments lasting up to 2 hours each. The 1st appointment takes place antenatally, where you gain essential breastfeeding knowledge and vital tips for success. The last 2 appointments take place after birth, providing personalised guidance, and assistance in the elimination of any problems, helping you step into your breastfeeding power!
